Christa Rodriguez

Contemporary Instructor

New to Open Space this year, Christa has been dancing since the age of three and has never stopped. From the moment she put on her first ballet slippers, she grew a deep passion for dance and an interest in every genre available at the studio where she trained. From the age of nine, she knew she would study and teach dance. Christa began teaching her own classes at the age of 10. Christa repeatedly received Performance Awards and Scholarships. She has repeatedly been selected to assist SYTYCD artist such as Comfort Fedoke, Courtney Galiano, Sasha Mallory and Ryan Ramirez to name a few. In addition, she has been recognized and received prestigious Choreographer’s Awards for her works as a choreographer. Her training and accomplishments have led to the natural progression of majoring in dance education with a minor in management from Bridgewater State University. She is a member of the National Dance Education Organization and a member of the BSU Dance Company. Christa has been selected to choreograph for four shows at BSU. Her passion for dance is reflected in her positive, outgoing personality and ability to inspire the students she instructs by leaving a positive imprint on their hearts and encouraging them to reach beyond the stars. Her advice to young dancers is to “never give up, always have exceptional work ethic and never let go of your dreams.”

Open Space voted "Most Loved" Dance Studio in Plymouth Award two years in a  row!
